About Cargotrader, Inc.
Incorporated in 1999 by the IT department from Comtrol Services Corporation
;
Cargotrader, Inc. was created to provide an online data exchange system
for commodity industries to monitor product quality and
quantity data. By leveraging expertise in the bulk cargo surveying and
computer database industries, Cargotrader has created an
online system that is both easy to use, semi-automated, customizable and
secure; and one that eliminates paperwork and duplicate
data entry so common to the bulk cargo logistics industry. By putting
inventory logistics data online, the
common data for an entire job can be accessed by
any approved and valid account holder anywhere in the world. The
system also alerts account holders to new job postings and
job updates. The system is also expandable, with features being added
on a regular basis by our super-skilled programmers. These features
can be added without the need for users
to update their computers or accounts--as with regular software--because the
centralized system updates everyone at once.
In fact, computer requirements are minimal to use
the system. A fast connection to the Internet is recommended,
and IE 5.1+, Netscape 7.0+ or Firefox 0.9+ is required for
now, but little else is necessary. No files are stored
locally, freeing up hard disk space. Reports can be generated
as needed, freeing up filing cabinet space and reports can be
customized, reducing paperwork and allowing for summarized
reports with only pertinent information. The data is secured
through several security features that guarantee the viability
of the data as entered by the concerned parties.
Once data has been locked, it cannot be altered by any party, ensuring its long-term integrity.
Cargotrader,
Inc. creates
custom web database applications for business needs such as laboratory information
management systems, project management, human resources, inventory management
and customer relations specializing in the bulk
cargo logistics industry. Cargotrader, Inc.
has also written database software for the environmental/health
and safety industry.
In 2003, Comtrol Services Corp. was merged
with Amspec Services LLC of Linden NJ, leaving Cargotrader,
Inc. as an independent company. It has branched out into other areas, including LIMS software for environmental and pharmaceutical firms
with Cargotester.com.
Cargotrader will go the extra mile in
supporting its customers needs regarding data storage and
presentation.
